Our Preschool and Hot Shots classes help young gymnasts build confidence, learn gymnastics skills, and develop important foundational skills.
The biggest difference is the class environment and level of independence expected.
Preschool and Hot Shots Classes
Preschool Class
3-4 year olds | Must be potty trained | 45 Minute Class
Preschool is designed for young gymnasts who are new to gymnastics or may be unsure in a larger gym setting. Classes take place in our smaller Preschool area, helping gymnasts stay focused, feel comfortable, and build confidence.
Coaches break skills down into small, easy-to-understand steps while working on both beginning gymnastics skills and important motor skills like balance, coordination, body awareness, and strength.
Gymnasts will work on:
- Beginning gymnastics skills
- Rolls, jumps, and balance
- Basic gymnastics positions
- Trampoline
- Bars and beam
- Coordination and body awareness
New to gymnastics? Start with Preschool! This class helps gymnasts build the confidence, listening skills, and foundations they need before moving into a larger class.
Hot Shots
4-5 year olds | 50 Minute Class
Hot Shots is designed for preschool-aged gymnasts who are ready for more independence and gymnastics-focused instruction.
Classes take place in our larger gym area, so gymnasts need to be comfortable listening to their coach, following directions, and staying focused in a busier environment. Hot Shots spends more time on gymnastics skills and drills rather than general coordination activities, while continuing to build strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness.
Gymnasts will work on:
- Cartwheels, handstands, forwards and backwards rolls
- Bars
- Beam
- Vault
- Trampoline
- Gymnastics-specific drills
- Strength and flexibility
Not sure which class is right? If your child is 4 years old and new to gymnastics or isn’t quite ready for a larger, busier environment, we recommend starting with Preschool!
